About the Journal

PENA ISLAM The Journal of Islamic Religious Education is published by the PAI Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah, Islamic Religious Institute, Uluwiyah, Mojokerto, East Java, Indonesia. Pena Islam contains scientific studies on Islamic religious education in schools, Islamic boarding schools, universities and Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. This journal puts forward empirical research and theory that is relevant to Islamic education issues. 
Journal topics include several studies, including Religious Issues, Islamic Education, Islamic Thought, Educational Psychology, Learning and Teaching, Islamic Religious Curriculum, Evaluation of Islamic Education, Philosophy of Islamic Education and Islamic Educational Institutions. This journal aims to provide a means of ongoing discussion regarding relevant issues included in the focus and scope of the journal which can be studied empirically in the field of Islamic Religious Education Studies.

PENA ISLAM publishes 2 issues a year in March (first edition) and September (second edition).
