JETS: Journal of English Teaching Strategies is an e-journal platform managed by the Language Center of IAI Uuwiyah Mojokerto. This journal is published biannually, in March and September, and is assigned the E-ISSN 2828-7851. JETS primarily focuses on English language teaching strategies, with a particular emphasis on the four core skills: reading, speaking, listening, and writing. The journal aims to showcase cutting-edge and innovative research in the field of English teaching strategies, with the goal of making a significant contribution to both the practice and theory of English language education.

Author Free of Charge: Authors are not required to pay any fees for the submission, evaluation, or publication of their articles in JETS: Journal of English Teaching Strategies.

Reporting Standards: Authors must present original manuscripts that have not been published elsewhere and should not submit the same article to other journals while awaiting a decision on its suitability. Research data should be accurate and verifiable. Proper citation is required for all sources, including written publications and personal interviews.

Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure their work is entirely original. If any work or words from other sources are used, they must be appropriately cited or quoted. Publishing the same research in multiple journals is generally discouraged, and submitting a manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is considered unethical.

Authorship: Authorship should be attributed only to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. All contributors should be listed as co-authors, while those who have participated in other substantial aspects should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors are included appropriately and have approved the final version of the manuscript before submission.

Data Access and Retention: Authors may be required to provide raw data for editorial review and should be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable period after publication.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or substantive conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the research should be disclosed.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works: If an author identifies a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they are obligated to promptly inform the journal editor or publisher and cooperate in retracting or correcting the paper. If a third party notifies the editor of a significant error, the author must promptly address the issue or provide evidence of the manuscript's correctness.

Editors: The editor of  JETS Journal is responsible for deciding which articles are published based on the validation and relevance of the work. These decisions are guided by the journal’s policies and legal requirements, such as those related to libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. Editors may consult with other editors or reviewers as needed.

Fair Play: Editors evaluate manuscripts based on intellectual content without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.

Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff must keep information about submitted manuscripts confidential, sharing it only with the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher as appropriate.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Unpublished material from submitted manuscripts must not be used by editors in their own research without explicit written consent from the author.

Reviewers: Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review helps editors make informed decisions and can assist authors in improving their papers through constructive feedback.

Promptness: Referees who feel unqualified or unable to review a manuscript promptly should inform the editors and withdraw from the review process.

Confidentiality: Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential and should not be discussed or shared with others except as authorized by the editor.

Standards of Objectivity: Reviews must be conducted impartially. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers should provide clear, reasoned feedback supported by evidence.

Acknowledgement of Sources: Reviewers should identify any references not cited by the authors and provide relevant citations for previously reported observations, derivations, or arguments. They should also alert the editor to any substantial similarity or overlap with other published work.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must keep privileged information obtained through peer review confidential and should not use it for personal gain. They should avoid reviewing manuscripts if they have conflicts of interest due to competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with the authors or institutions involved.

Publisher: The publisher is committed to ensuring that commercial interests do not affect editorial decisions. The Journal of English Teaching Strategies support communication with other journals as needed and works closely with relevant divisions to establish standards for ethical practices, including handling errors and retractions. Specialized legal review and counsel are available if required.

GUIDELINES FOR ARTICLE CONTRIBUTORS

  1. Submission Criteria: JETS welcomes articles related to English language teaching and learning strategies that have not been previously published or are not under consideration by other journals.

  2. Formatting Requirements: Manuscripts must be submitted in MS Word format, using 12-point Times New Roman font. The margins should be set at 2 cm on all sides, and the text should be single-spaced on A4 paper. The length of the manuscript should be between 4000 and 6000 words (excluding references).

  3. Review and Editing: Submitted articles will be reviewed by subject matter experts. The editors retain the right to make formatting adjustments for consistency without altering the content.

  4. Structure and Subheadings: Articles should be written in essay format with subheadings for each section, except for the introduction. The subheading hierarchy is as follows:

    • Level One: ALL CAPS, BOLD, LEFT JUSTIFIED
    • Level Two: Capitalized First Letter of Each Word, Bold, Left Justified
    • Level Three: Italicized and Bold, Left Justified
  5. Non-Research Articles: These should include: (a) Title; (b) Full names of contributors (without titles), email addresses, and institutional affiliations; (c) Abstract (maximum 100 words); (d) Keywords; (e) Introduction; (f) Body; (g) Conclusion; and (h) References.   6. Research Articles: These should contain: (a) Title; (b) Full names of contributors (without titles), email addresses, and institutional affiliations; (c) Abstract (maximum 100 words); (d) Keywords; (e) Introduction, including literature review and research objectives; (f) Methodology; (g) Findings and Discussion; (h) Conclusions and Recommendations; (i) References; and (j) Appendix, if applicable.   7. References: References should be listed alphabetically and chronologically, adhering to the citation style specified by JETS Journal.

  8. Submission Process: Manuscripts, along with a brief CV of the contributors and a list of selected items for the subject index (approximately 20 items), should be emailed to: ................
