Analisis Konsep Feminisme Dalam Film Littel Woman Karya Greta Gerwing Tahun 2016
Abstract
This study explores the concept of feminism in Greta Gerwig's Little Women using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. Through an analysis of three levels of meaning, namely denotation, connotation, and myth, this study aims to understand how films can represent women's struggles against patriarchal social norms. This study uses a qualitative approach with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis. This study highlights the diversity of feminist perspectives and how film media can be a means to convey gender equality issues. The results of this study reveal that Little Women is not only an adaptation of a classic novel, but also an effective communication medium to convey messages of gender equality and women's freedom. This film highlights the diversity of women's experiences, both in private life and in public spaces, making it relevant to modern audiences.
