Abstract

In the increasingly digital era, social media has become an important part of the work environment. PT Kawah Media as a company operating in the book publishing industry is expected to take advantage of the development of social media to increase employee productivity. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the extent to which the use of social media in the work environment can affect employee productivity, introduce the positive and negative impacts that may arise due to the use of social media and encourage employee and management awareness about the appropriate and responsible way to use social media in the environment. work to support productivity and welfare. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method to determine the role of social media among PT Kawah Media employees with data analysis techniques using observation and interviews. The results of this research show that social media is a favorite medium for employees and has a positive impact. However, employees must be able to be wise in understanding and using social media accounts.
